Fine Arts by two fine artists

A Statement About These Pieces

My work always seeks common forms as a point of departure. The pieces can be humorous, and they reference fine craft and folk art, but ultimately, they do not share the same conceptual concerns as those genres. Though these pieces are generally three-dimensional in nature, I approach them from a painter’s perspective rather than that of a sculptor or craftsman

Many of these pieces can be viewed or purchased at Button Gallery in Douglas MI or via Art Resource Team Gallery in Cincinnati.

Some Food Pieces

I have always found food to be intriguing artistic subject matter.  Food is commonplace and vital to our existence, but its various forms can also be viewed as representations of cultural norms. As visual forms, food objects can be portrayed to make broader statements about the culture from which they are born
